If you can hit Vagamon soon enough, he can't cast spells and your spells will work against him (fireball, magic missile, hold person). Plus my magic-user didn't go down so I could wand of defoliation those shambling mounds. And boy I love their treasure!
Next up: Treasures of the Savage Frontier. I've never beat it (could never figure out how to get to Icewind Dale).
Re: Gateway to the Savage Frontier: The End (parts 1+2) You can always use the item duplication trick. Load your saved game, create a character, transfer items from party to that character then remove character from party. Exit game without saving party. Relead saved game, add character back to party and take back his items while you still have your original items.
But the items that you are inquiring about I made myself using a hacked exe of gateway and cheat codes. Hacked exe and cheat codes can be found at the weekendwastemonster gateway to the savage frontier page.
Re: Gateway to the Savage Frontier: The End (parts 1+2) I suspecting it was something like that. Still, feels pretty darn good anyway you look at it since it is a tough fight. Those shambling mounds are just some tough baddies to face at that level.
Re: Gateway to the Savage Frontier: The End (parts 1+2) I was aiming to make a cool demo-like video, like what is seen in all of the gold box demo videos. All the demo's feature 3 characters in some cool battles. Take the Secret of the Silver Blade demo for example. 3 Kick ass characters. Capet, Seiglinda, and Avroes. I tried making 3 characters. Of course this vid being from Gateway, Krevish kind of mucks up the 3 character combination. But even with 3 characters + Krevish, I got my ass kicked. Plus being that my demo video was that of the final battle, and not some battle that occured early on in the game, I'm sure that didn't help. So I made 4 characters plus Krevish. The video came out alright, I only wish I could have put it all onto 1 video. Unfortunately it did not happen, due to constraints on youtube upload limits. Perhaps someday I might make a 3 character video in which my 3 character team kicks major butt. Until then though, this vid will have to do.
