Java Classic Role Playing Game

Can anyone give me some more indepth info into this. It looks interesting but I am slightly confused to it. Is it like an older MMO or is it strictly 1 person with a party. I am just generally confused at it and I want to get into it but it looks awkward to me currently and I would like to look before I leap.

Re: Java Classic Role Playing Game

Java Classic Role Playing Game is currently in-development. The aim of the project is to create a classic style CRPG (similar to Eye of the Beholder, or Wizardry 7, etc), that you have control of up to 6 (or so) characters, fight in turn based combat, also have multiple options to parlay with characters or monsters you encounter. It's goal is to also be a framework+ engine for creating your own quests, like the Bard's Tale Construction set, or similar Construction set so that you have a whole world at your fingertips. I've been keeping an eye on the project for some time now and have tested it a few times. It's not completed but with each release, it gets more and more interesting. It'll be great when it's completed. The Java Classic Role Playing Game Developer (Timong) posts on this forum occasionally. He'd be able to tell you allot more than I could. You can check out the current status of JCRPG at the JCRPG Developer Blog He updates the Blog on a regular basis so people can keep track of its progress. There are downloadable versions of it, if you'd like to test it out + he's always happy to hear feedback from us testers.
